Experience the spectacular beauty of central Kentucky backroads on the Bike Trek to Shakertown - Kentucky's preeminent cycling event! Beautiful routes, friendly people, great food, historical sites and first class service. Be part of it!

What is the Bike Trek to Shakertown?

"A cycling adventure with some of the best roads for riding in this part of the country - a 1st rate event!" -veteran trekker Arnold Johnston

The Bike Trek to Shakertown has it all!  It’s a 3-day mini-vacation on wheels through gorgeous Kentucky countryside — highlighted by an overnight stay on Sunday at historic Shakertown. There you’ll be treated to a tour of the restored 19th century dwellings, a riverboat cruise, evening entertainment and a fabulous dinner and breakfast.  The round-trip route begins and ends in Harrodsburg, with a Saturday overnight at Danville’s famous Pioneer Playhouse.

A 2-day option (Saturday and Sunday only) is available, which includes the Saturday night stay in Danville and a visit to Shakertown, but no overnight stay on Sunday.  For safety reasons, baby trailers are not allowed and some age restrictions apply. Participation on the Trek requires that you have a bike with at least 10 speeds. Trust us on this!
